Installation
Get Converlay running on your Shopify store in under 5 minutes. No code changes required.
Prerequisites
- An active Shopify store (any plan)
- Admin access to your Shopify store
- At least one destination ready (e.g., a GA4 Measurement ID or Meta Pixel ID)
Step 1: Install from the Shopify App Store
- Visit the Converlay listing on the Shopify App Store
- Click Install
- Review the requested permissions and click Install app
Permissions requested
Converlay requests the following scopes during installation:

read_customer_events | Access storefront events for forwarding |
read_orders | Enrich purchase events with order data |
read_customers | Enhanced matching for ad platforms |
read_products | Product data in event payloads |
Step 2: Connect a destination
After installation, you'll be taken to the Converlay dashboard. Navigate to Setup and enter your destination credentials. See the destinations guide for detailed instructions per platform.
Step 3: Verify the pixel is connected
- In your Shopify Admin, go to Settings → Customer events
- Find Converlay in the pixel list
- Confirm the status shows Connected
Test your pixel
Click the three-dot menu next to the Converlay pixel and select Test. Shopify's built-in pixel tester will open — browse your storefront and verify events fire in real time.
