Why I built Converlay
I’m Abdoul. Before Converlay, I led engineering at direct-to-consumer brands where I owned the conversion funnel end to end. I watched our real sales quietly stop matching what Meta and GA4 reported — ad blockers, iOS privacy, cookie limits — while we kept paying to optimize campaigns on numbers that were wrong.
Every fix on the market was a heavyweight GTM server or an agency retainer. So I built the tool I wished I’d had: server-side tracking any Shopify merchant can install in five minutes and actually trust.

15 years building production systems
Including CTO and VP of Engineering roles at venture-backed startups — one later acquired. Converlay isn’t a weekend project; it’s built on a career of shipping software that real businesses depend on.
I’ve run the merchant’s side
As an engineering leader at DTC brands, I lived attribution loss and wasted ad spend firsthand. Converlay is the answer to my own problem, not a feature copied from a competitor.
